Our baby Room at Broomfield provides a safe and cosy haven. There is soft lighting and a cot area, where each baby can sleep, with their own personal sleepbag provided. We work closely with the Parent's home routine and each child is appointed their own Key Worker, to liaise with the parent and to deliver a Daily Progress Report. Parents can call at any time throughout the day to get an update on their child's welfare.

Much of our toddler's day is spent in free-play, with a wide variety of toys and activities provided to encourage language, social and imaginative skills. These include construction toys, a reading area, jigsaws, and areas for messy play. Also important is hygiene, and this is encouraged with the provision of toilet training and hand-washing routines, which become a normal part of a toddler's day.

In order to stimulate the active minds of our toddlers, we offer indoor and outdoor play, which can be accessed throughout the day. Along with a careful selection of educational activities, our Toddlers are assisted in the process of Toilet Training, with the consent and cooperation of the parents.

Our Pre-School Room helps to prepare your child for the transition into Primary School. We promote confidence through a series of independent tasks, such as allowing children to register themselves, serve their own food and we appoint daily monitors to help with the everyday running of the Nursery. Our aim at Broomfield, is to nurture a growing sense of responsibility, but to also have fun!

Broomfield Private Day Nursery has spacious outdoor area, at the rear of the building... a secure walled garden, with a gate that is locked when children are playing out. There is an Adventure Garden, consisting of Natural Resources, such as wooden blocks, planks, and ropes to encourage exploration. To ensure safety, all underfoot surfaces consist of bark or artificial grass. We also have a soft surface area where children have access to bikes, tricycles and scooters.
We offer a pick-up service to and from Clayton St. John CE Primary School, Clayton Village Primary School, and St. Anthonys Catholic Primary School. The children are given the choice of travelling in our car or walking`supervised by our staff. The children wear high visibility jackets door to door.
The Holiday Club hosts Day Trips to a variety of venues, such as Eureka, Halifax, Leeds/Bradford Airport, as well as excursions to the Cinema and local park. We offer a range of activities which are child led, such as shopping and the children then have the opportunity to cook or bake with their purchased ingredients. We offer Dance and Drama Sessions that provide both exercise and stimuli for the senses.
